    The Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge can be found in New York City, USA. Designed by engineer John Roebling, this bridge took a total of 14 years to build (1869-1883). It is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the US. It is about 1825 metres long. Sadly, J. Roebling died of tetanus before the bridge was built, so his son, Washington Roebling took over but also died. The project was completed by Washington Roebling's wife, Emily Roebling.

My Research is on the Golden Gate Bridge Smile
The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the opening of the San Francisco Bay onto the Pacific Ocean. As part of both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1, it connects the city of San Francisco on the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County. The Golden Gate Bridge was the longest suspension bridge span in the world when it was completed during the year 1937, and has become an internationally recognized symbol of San Francisco and California. I did mine on the Golden Gate Bridge!

It was completed back in 1937.
The total length of it is about 1.7 miles! Its about 90 feet wide, and runs about 220 feet above the water it runs over. Now, it weighs about 887,000 tons! Its tallest tower reaches about 746 feet into the sky. That's a tall bridge! It lights up the night sky with 128 lights along its roadway, and 12 lights on each tower.
About 40 million people travel over it every year!

The picture i drew of it wont upload on here, so ill email it to chobots support.

Hope you learned something from this! =D

    FAMOUS BRIDGES What a Face

The world is home to some of the most amazing bridges. Some are simpler than others, but they all have on thing In common, they are all used every day. The first bridges were made by nature; a simple log that had fallen across a stream. Some of the first man made bridges were spans of wooden logs, wooden planks, and stones.
Soon bridges were made out of steal, metal and other materials.
In the early 1900’s, one of America’s most famous and most recognizable bridges was constructed. The name of that bridge is The Golden Gate Bridge. In 1937, the bridge was finished and open to the public. The bridge is located in Sanfransico, California.
As you might know, there are a whole lot of bridges in the world, some in parks, others connecting land, and most that help people in every day life. From cave men, to the people today, bridges will always be used to help people in the whole world

Continuing with the rich history of bridge building over the River Tyne, which saw its span bridged as early as 1220 by the erstwhile Roman conquerors, The Millennium Bridge in Newcastle upon Tyne in England, opened to the public in 2001 and officially opened by The Queen in 2002, must be recognized as an engineering masterpiece. Please if I win give to v flag to the acc _sue_ and give her a pink one plz

    What bridge means

A bridge is a structure built over bodies of water, over a trench, and over roads/land.Bridges are usually designed to carry land traffic, but some carry canals, aircraft runways, or pipelins.

    The Golden Gate bridge

Thier is some famous bridges like the Golden Gate Bridge in Califonia. The bridge was being built in 1933 and was done being built in 1937. The bridge cost about 35,000,000 dollers just to built. The bridge connects San Francisco with Sothern Marine County. The Golden Gate Bridge was the longest suspension bridge span in the world when it was completed during the year 1937.The bridge measures 9,266 feet (2,824 m). the towers on the bridge were one of the first to be designed to without stand to earthquicks. In 2007, it was ranked fifth on the List of America's Favorite Architecture by the American Institute of Architects.

    Akashi Kaikyo Bridge

Another famous bridge is the Akashi Kaikyo Bridgealso, also known as the Pearl Bridge, in Japan. The bridge was completed in 1998. It took two million workers ten years to construct the bridge. he bridge is the world's longest suspension bridge ever. It has six lanes and links the island of Awaji and the mainland city of Kobe, a distance of four miles. The Akashi Kaikyo Suspension Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in the world and it is probably Japan’s greatest engineering feat is Japan ever.

    Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado

Another famous bridge is the Royal Gorge Bridge. The bridge was constructed in six months, between June 5, 1929 and late November 1929, as a toll bridge, at a cost of $350,000. The bridge was completed in December 2004. The bridge is the tallest bridge in the world, at 1,118 feet (341 m). The bridge was not constructed for transportation purposes, but for tourist attraction.
